french director thomas balmès new documentary babies is a lovely way to spend a couple of hours. the film simultaneously follows 4 babies from around the world (namibia, mongolia, tokyo and san francisco) from birth to their first steps. and while the babies day-to-day lives are very different. they do have a common denominator. curiosity and their mother's unconditional love.
